bdlooper

bdloop

The b&d looper was created as a performance tool for my bury&disinter live shows. The core of the programe was developed with Tom Betts and then slowly altered and "enhanced" by myself over the years.

The actual patch is made up of 4 loopers, each one of these operates pretty much like an old fashioned tape echo unit, balancing the level of feedback creates the infinate loop. Each looper is tied into the same clock so they stay in sync, although this can be dissabled allowing all sorts of Steve Reich phase music shenanigans.

bury&disinter

bury&disinter was (is?) a solo music experiment. After years of making pure electronica as wauvenfold I needed a break from rigid sequencing. The idea behind the project was to use guitar as the only source, which led to using various extended playing techniques and processing to create sounds and textures not normally associated with the instrument.

I had a few releases under this moniker, several on Japanese label Duotone and one for Static Caravan in the UK.

The remix was accepted and through that we signed with wichita recordings and eventually went on to sign publishing with EMI.
